Elisa Carlsen
Elisa Carlsen (she/they) grew up in Humboldt County, Nevada. She is a poet, artist, and rusted metal fanatic. Her work has appeared in SixFold, VoiceCatcher, Nevada Arts Council, and Oranges Journal. Elisa won the Lower Columbia Regional Poetry Contest with the Writers Guild of Astoria in 2021. Her first book of poetry, Cormorant, is forthcoming from Unsolicited Press and is scheduled for publication in 2023.
Sometimes they dress up as a wolf to hide their lamb-like qualities. Recently, they completed a micro-chapbook titled Me ÷ You. Addressing the fundamental equation of their life, the poems in this collection poems recount their personal history of love – when they thought love was something to be found in other people.
