Born in the shadow of Wyoming’s Big Horn Mountains, I rode out my adolescence in Las Vegas, rambled through my twenties in Utah, grew a decade in Eastern Washington, somehow survived SoCal, and now I’m thriving in the Colorado Rockies. I’m a freelance writer, editor, web designer, teacher, and Jill-of-many-skills.

I earned my MFA in 2005 while teaching poetry in a medium-security men’s prison. My poems have been published in Grist, Inscape, Cascadia Review, San Pedro River Review, Southword Journal, and forthcoming in Chautauqua. A finalist in the Gregory O’Donoghue International Poetry Competition, my poem, “Gladiator Days,” was awarded the status of Highly Commended by judge Thomas McCarthy.
